Fastening the Seat Belt

Ensure the seat is correctly positioned. See Correct Seating Position.

Pull the seat belt out smoothly, ensuring the seat belt lays flat across the pelvis, chest and mid-point of the collar bone between the neck and shoulder.

Insert the latch plate into the buckle and press down until you hear a “click”, indicating it is securely locked in place.

Pull the seat belt to check that it is securely fastened.

Pull the shoulder part of the seat belt towards the retractor to remove any excess slack.
Seat belt height adjustment
The seat belt adjusters located on the B-pillars can be used to adjust the height of the front seat belts.
After fastening a front seat belt, press and hold the button on the seat belt adjuster, then move the belt up or down between the four available positions.
Adjust the seat belt to the appropriate position for the belt to rest midway between the shoulder and the neck, on the collar bone.
Releasing the belt
To release the seat belt, press the red button on the buckle. The belt retracts automatically.
