Liftgate Opening and Closing
WARNING: Be aware of the risk of serious injury when operating the liftgate. Before opening or closing, make sure that no one is in the path of the liftgate who could be injured by its movement.
CAUTION: When operating the liftgate manually, open and close it slowly. If you encounter resistance, do not use force. This could lead to damage and loss of function.
The vehicle must be in P (Park) to allow the liftgate to operate.
If the liftgate is not fully closed when the vehicle is shifted out of P (Park), the red Door Ajar warning indicator (telltale) illuminates on the Driver Display.
Exterior liftgate switch
An electronic switch for opening and closing the liftgate is located on the lower edge of the liftgate. If a valid key fob is in range, pressing the switch automatically opens the liftgate to the currently-programmed opening height. Press the switch again to close.
Opening the liftgate
The liftgate can be unlocked and opened by any of the following methods:

Pull the interior liftgate opening switch, located on the driver‘s door near the storage pocket.

Press and hold the key fob button within 164 ft (50 m) of the liftgate.

Pull the liftgate switch on the overhead console.

Use the exterior liftgate switch.

Use the Fisker App.
Closing the liftgate
To close the liftgate, do one of the following:

Press and release the exterior liftgate switch.

Manually pull the liftgate down until the power cinch engages and pulls it closed.
Automatic movement stop
If anything obstructs the liftgate with enough force to prevent it from opening or closing, it will reverse directions.
If the liftgate stops moving due to an obstruction, remove the obstruction and try to open or close it again. If it cannot be opened or closed a second time, try to operate it manually.
Setting the liftgate opening height
The liftgate opening height can be programmed to your preference.
Open the liftgate using one of the methods previously described in this section. When the liftgate reaches the desired height, press and hold the exterior liftgate switch for 3 seconds. This position will now be stored in the memory.
Resetting the liftgate height
To reset the liftgate opening height back to the highest position, select > Doors and Mirrors on the Central Touchscreen.
Under Liftgate, tap Reset to Full Height. The Central Touchscreen notifies you when the reset is completed.
