Braking Systems

WARNING: It is critical to occupant safety that your braking systems are always functioning properly. If you experience any issues with the brake pedal or receive any fault messages regarding the braking system, contact Fisker via the Fisker App immediately.

WARNING: Driving through heavy rain or water can have an adverse effect on braking efficiency. It is recommended that you lightly apply the brakes intermittently in order to dry the brakes.

WARNING: Do not rest your foot on the brake pedal while the vehicle is in motion unless you are applying the brake pedal.

The foot pedal hydraulically-operated brakes are electro-mechanically assisted, but only when the vehicle is On. If the vehicle loses power when driving, you will need to apply more pressure on the brake pedal and you will experience longer stopping distances.

If the red brake indicator (telltale) illuminates on the Driver Display, a brake system fault has been detected. This is accompanied by a warning notification as to the specific fault.

Contact Fisker via the Fisker App as soon as possible to have the brakes inspected.

If the fluid in the brake reservoir drops below the recommended level, a warning notification displays on the Driver Display. See Checking Brake Fluid.
