Placing RFID Transponders

Placing RFID Transponders

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) transponders (also called RFID tags) can be used to automatically identify vehicles, and are usually attached to the interior glass of the windshield or rear window.

Some common examples of using RFID tags are for:

  • Accessing secured areas (e.g., parking structures, gated communities)

  • Automatic payments (e.g., toll booths, car washes)

When placing RFID tags, Fisker recommends placing the tag as high as possible on the interior glass of the windshield or rear window, out of the driver’s line of sight.
